The summit, organised by the U.S. Department of Energy in cooperation with the Greek government and the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, brought together energy ministers, experts and senior officials from Central and Eastern Europe to strengthen transatlantic cooperation on energy security and transition.

In a video message from the Greek capital, Balluku highlighted the importance of U.S.-European coordination to ensure energy security and reduce dependence on Russian gas.

“Secretary Wright delivered an inspiring vision focused on energy security, transatlantic cooperation, and above all, the coordination of states to minimise the impact of Russian gas in Europe,” Balluku said.

She added that the participation of the Secretary the U.S. Department of the Interior Doug Burgum  underscored “the essential role energy plays not only in economic development but also in global security.”

Balluku said Albania’s participation at the high-level forum reaffirmed its commitment to the international dialogue on energy transition, diversification of resources, and regional energy resilience.

The P-TEC Summit serves as a platform for exchanging ideas and policies aimed at reducing dependence on non-sustainable energy sources and encouraging investment in clean technologies aligned with global green transition goals.
