The statue of the national hero has been erected in the central square of the municipality of Tuz. The town municipal assembly unanimously approved the decision to erect the statue of Skanderbeg.

At the ceremony held on this occasion, there were present citizens of Montenegro as well as people from the Pan-Albanian space and the Diaspora of the United States of America.

The financial contributors were mainly members of the Albanian associations of the “Highland Diaspora” in the USA. /j.p/p.s./

The book fair aims at promoting literature, authors and new books by creating a platform that brings together readers and publishing houses that showcase an array of new titles.

Many publishing houses from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia participated in the event, with history, philosophy and art books on offer.

The event also fosters cultural cooperation among countries in the region and common cultural values through books.

A number of titles from the Academy of Science are being showcased at the Book Fair in Tuz.

This book is the fruit of many years of collecting work. The author started working on the book as early as 1969.

The dictionary contains a large number of phrase logical units, words, meanings and phrases, accompanied by proverbs of these areas in Northern Albania, aiming to make a comprehensive presentation of the great lexical and phrase logical wealth of the province.

The dictionary highlights the great wealth of the Malësi Madhe dialect. In this work, among others, there are names of animals and plants, typical sayings and greetings, oaths, wishes and curses, as well as an extremely large number of ethnic phrases.

The author manages to make the explanations of the meanings as simple and convenient as possible for his users.

In the assessment of academician Shaban Sinani, this dictionary is a reserve of language and culture, tradition and heritage, which gives ease to young researchers of several fields.

The work offers an encyclopedic view of the traditional life of the province, giving representation to the linguistic values ​​of nobles and common people, of prominent writers such as Fishta and Camaj and of rhapsodes and elderly wise judges; it is an unwritten and written memory book.

By starting the publication of provincial and historical dialectological dictionaries, the Academy of Sciences simultaneously confirms its assessment that local dialects are national heritage and wealth.

Academician emeritus Gjovalin Shkurtaj spoke at the end about the history of the preparation of his work, acknowledging many of the merits mentioned by the reviewers to the linguistic wealth of the province.

At the end, Tuzi City Hall received a collection of selected publications of the Academy of Sciences, an act that was applauded by those present./p.s./

This conference brought together experts and researchers from the archives of Albanian-speaking countries and the archives of the region, who like every year discussed the problems, study methodology, digitalization and improvement of content infrastructure, innovation, and vision of the work of archives in today’s realities.
