According to data from the Bank of Albania, earlier this year, Turkish foreign investments in Albania reached the value of 23 million euros. Meanwhile, the highest flows were recorded at the end of 2020 with Turkish investments amounting to 94 million euros.

Potential sectors dominated by Turkish investors are the financial system (banking), heavy industry (steel manufacturing), the construction sector but also the energy sector.

Turkish entrepreneurship in Albania is especially concentrated in some large companies of strategic sectors, such as National Commercial Bank, Albtelecom, Kurum, Limak or Ayen AS Energji

Turkey is among Albania’s principal trade partners. During 2020 trade exchanges with Turkey increased to over ALL 55 billion.
Meanwhile, trade exchanges with Turkey constitute 6.8 % of overall trade volume.
