TIRANA, Sept 25 /ATA/ Albania’s foreign direct investment inflows in the second quarter of 2026 were underpinned by a wide range of countries, with Turkey leading by value. Figures from the Bank of Albania show Turkish investments totalled €64 million between April and June, followed by Austria with €62 million.

“In total, foreign direct investment inflows into Albania during the second quarter reached €741 million, comprising contributions from a range of European countries and beyond.

Countries with established economic ties to Albania remain present in the investment structure, while second‑quarter data also highlight shifts in the share of investors by origin of capital.

Alongside Turkey and Austria, other countries contributing to Albania’s investment inflows included the Netherlands, Italy and Kosovo. By contrast, investments from the United Arab Emirates, China, Norway, Sweden and Serbia were of lower value during the quarter.

The performance of investments by country reflects shifts in foreign capital flows into the economy and the composition of sources of direct investment in Albania.
