According to MoEI, the deadline for submission of bids is July 28 (28.07.2021).
Once construction of this work is completed, the travel time on Orikum-Palace axis will be reduced to just 10 minutes.

The tunnel will be a gateway to the south of the country which will become a tourist attraction not only for the country but for the whole region and why not for the Mediterranean.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy launched the competitive bidding for the construction of this tunnel in mid-December 2020, but at the end of the competition none of the 5 companies that expressed interest met the criteria.

“After a very detailed observation it turned out that none of the participants met the technical and legal requirements. The competition will be reopened immediately after the end of the complaints period, “Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, said shortly after the end of the race.
