During the meeting, Minister Krifca appreciated the significance of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture, while she emphasized the increase in Albanian agricultural exports to the Japanese market.

“2022 marked a year with concrete results of cooperation with Japan, a time when we started the export of an important product, such as tuna-fish. During the discussions with the Japanese I said I was looking for Japanese support for increasing the export quotas of tuna-fish, since Albania already has the infrastructure and capacities to increase production, through aquaculture farms that operate according to the required high standards of Japan”, said Minister Krifca.

The minister also said that we have asked for an opportunity to remove the double tariffs that Japan currently applies.

During this official visit led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Albanian delegation held a series of important meetings with a focus on increasing economic cooperation and commercial exchanges between the two countries.
