TIRANA, October 14/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama in Episode 5 of Season 2 of the “Flasim” (Let’s Talk) podcast held a conversation with Gersi Troka, winner of the Gold Medal at the Special Olympic Games in Berlin, about people with different abilities.

PM Rama said that Gersi Troka achieved extraordinary success winning the gold medal at the Special Olympic Games in Berlin with an excellent performance in the 200-meter freestyle swimming race.

PM Rama said further that: “I have played, but I have never been a champion and I am very glad to be in front of a champion”.

The prime minister also told the way of how they got to know each other.

“It was through a complaint. One of the good things about this job is that it gives you the opportunity to meet people, who otherwise I might never have met. And one of the ways is through the complaints. Gersi’s mother sent me a message complaining that her son had been neglected. I conveyed the message to the Minister of Education and Sports. The minister was immediately put in motion and me had actually paved the way to meet a champion. Young people of special abilities deserve to be set on a pedestal,” said Rama.

On his part, Gresi Troka said: “I became Olympic champion because I worked hard, I did a lot of training all the time and I did not give up until now when I was declared swimming champion.”

During the conversation, spoke also the other guest, Gersi’s mother, who told about his training and efforts as well as his participation in differing special sports events abroad. /p.s./
