TIRANA, February 1/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama reiterated today his stance to the Democratic Party claims regarding his trips by private charter.

PM Rama posted a video in the social media with the accusations of the DP MP Orjola Pampuri who insisted this morning that, “Rama did not answer the Albanians on who paid for the stay in the luxury resort in Wildbad Kreuth, once a gem of the Bavarian royal family Wittelsbach and a spa for Russian tsars and Austrian empresses.

In his reaction to Pampuri, PM Rama stressed that, “The fact that I was photographed near the legendary resort with the well-known German journalist Gisela Freisinger does not mean that I stayed there.”

“No, I stayed with my family in Munich and spent an hour in the area of Lake Tegernsee with the journalist, for her well-known column, with personalities invited for an outdoor conversation,” PM Rama said.

“So, instead of going to the spas of tsars and empresses, find a translator and do not just look at the pictures,” said PM Rama.

Pampuri further stated that, “With his verbal jokes, Edi Rama informed the Albanians yesterday that he had spent their tax money to travel to Munich to give an interview about his plight, to clean up the image tarnished by crime and corruption ”.

PM Rama replied: “No, I did not said this yesterday. Whoever listened to me and wanted to listen to me, heard clearly that I explained that I had travelled to Munich with a 345 euro Lufthansa economic ticket, together with my wife and young son.”

The video further shows Pampuri who said that, “Rama did not answer the Albanians with whose money he carried out the secret trip by charter, about which only the fuel costs 120 thousand Euros?”.

PM Rama replied that, “I said very clearly, both how and with whom I travelled. And I even explained the strange arithmetic of 120 thousand Euros of fuel for a flight”.

Further on, Pampuri emphasized that, “Today, we are asking Edi Rama again. Has he travelled by charter to Sweden in recent days? Who paid for this trip? ”

Prime Minister Rama said, “What has a trip to Sweden got to do with an interview in Munich? No, I have not travelled to Sweden”.

Further on, Pampuri claimed that, “Only for luxury in 8 years, Edi Rama has spent 798.3 million Euros from the money of Albanians”.

PM Rama responded to this accusation by pointing to the arithmetic of two idiots who have taken the DP hostage, for their own interests and for their personal bargains”./j.p/r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, Dec. 13/ATA/ In the 9-month period of this year, tourism major impact in the influx of visitors and tourists, as well as in the increase of the Albanians spending on trips abroad.

According to the official data published by the Bank of Albania, in the first 9 months of this year, Albanians spent about 801 million euros on trips abroad.

Compared to the pandemic year, this indicator has marked an increase, but still remains 34% lower than in the 9-month period of 2019.

The outflows of Albanian citizens were 28% lower compared to the 9 months of 2019.

Restricting the exit of local citizens, while foreigners had more freedom of movement has led the balance of income (the difference between the expenditures of foreigners in the country and those of Albanians abroad) be at its highest level since 2008.

The Bank of Albania reported that in the 9-month period 2021, the country’s tourism net income reached 672 million euros, or 63% more than in January-September 2019.//a.i/
