TIRANA, April  27  /ATA/ The Democratic Party candidate for the municipality of Tirana in upcoming May 14 local elections, Roland Bejko, in a meeting with residents in the Kinostudio area outlined the DP program for public transport.

Bejko said that he will offer an accessible public transport for all citizens, enabling free movement for all vulnerable categories, starting from pensioners, students, the unemployed, people with special needs and former political persecuted.

Bejko promised electronic ticket, which will be valid for 1 week, 1 month or even yearly. This innovation, said Bejko, will eliminate the long queues to take  subscription tickets, as citizens will be able to buy them online.

“Erion Veliaj has increased fourfold and fivefold citizens’ taxes, we will reduce them by half.  He has made a mess of the urban traffic, because he does not exercise control over the company that received this concession. We suspect that there is corruption, if there was no corruption, they would exercise control, they would control the system through an electronic system from the municipal offices. “
