TIRANA, Feb 12 /ATA/ The German Embassy responded on Wednesday through a Facebook post regarding the report released by Transparency International the previous day.

The announcement states that the German Embassy “welcomes the progress Albania has made in the 2024 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index.”

The announcement states, “Transparency International attributes this progress mainly to the trust that Albanians place in the work of SPAK, as well as in European Law Enforcement Agencies. Although much work remains to be done, this is an accomplishment that all Albanians should take pride in.”

The German Embassy emphasizes that the international fight against organized crime and corruption is vital for our societies and reaffirms its commitment to support our country in achieving swift EU membership.
Albania has made notable progress in the Corruption Perception Index ranking, according to Transparency International. The country has gained 5 points in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching a total of 42 points out of a possible 100.
