Of these, 9844 are large businesses and 7460 are small businesses.

Referring to tax administration data, almost half of the fiscalized businesses are in Tirana, or 8562, while 2 thousand fiscalized businesses are in Durres. Also, the largest number of fiscalized businesses belong to the trade and services sector.

The GDT announces that the approach of the Tax Administration will be advisory and informative to come to the aid of every taxpayer.
The first stage of this reform which started as of January 1 2021 consists in cashless transactions between taxpayers and public entities (B2G); the second stage which started on July 1 2021 consists in cashless transactions between taxpayers (B2B); the third stage for cash transactions between taxpayer-consumer will start on September 1.
