At the press conference after the government meeting, Krifca emphasized that, “The Farmer’s Log” is based on the experience and the best foreign practices, which serves the traceability of the product from farm to fork. ”

“This process, she said, will be guided by the National Veterinary and Plant Protection Authority, which has a body of agronomists who will train farmers and inform them on how to use the ‘Farmers’ Log.

This work practice enables MoARD to obtain accurate information on product ranging from the seed used, the type of fertilizer used to the final product.

“The ‘Farmer’s Log’ is a new format that takes Albania one step ahead in food safety standards, which is also at the core of the work that MoARD does to improve food security in the country,” Krifca said.
