TIRANA, June 7/ATA/ The new buildings in the Student’s Town are already ready for 600 students offering much better conditions and more space than before.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared pictures of the new buildings in the Student’s Town on social networks today.

Three of these buildings were previously occupied by citizens, who are being treated with a rent bonus from the municipality of Tirana.

Investments in the Student’s Town have radically transformed the lifestyle of students in the capital, while improvements in the dormitory infrastructure will also reduce energy consumption by an average of 20% compared to current levels.

Likewise, the Student Card today offers 2,200 free services and reduced prices for 65,000 students. /m.m/p.s./

TIRANA, November 26 /ATA/ Following the meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo that was held today in Elbasan, Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Kosovo counterpart Albin Kurti visited a private enterprise, which operates in the fish sector.

Gjergj Luca, entrepreneur of this investment, said that he started this business 5 years ago, in this area that was once abandoned and unexploited and where there were found only the ruins of the time of communism.

“In the beginning I built the first processing factory, then we continued with the second, the third and the fourth factory and we set up a company that operates with chain processes”, said Luca.

12 trucks a week carrying processed fish are exported to foreign markets: Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands recording a turnover of 50-60 million Euros.

Currently, 1200 workers work in the 8 factories while Luca’s ambition has continued with the opening of two other factories in Gramsh and one in Përrenjas.

“We have entered poor areas and intend to open a fish factory even in Maliq,” he said.

The “Luca” complex in Elbasan is not only a productive environment, but also an agro-tourist attraction centre. In this complex, there are two cinema halls of high standards as well as the museum where are located antique objects and relics of Albanian time and history.

“Fish town” is the model of modern entrepreneurship that is promoting development in the suburbs of Elbasan./r.e/p.s./
