“‘The majority of them continue to be fully booked for the entire month of October and certainly throughout November. In fact, the tourist season in Berat no longer spans specific months, but it is year-round. It has been an incredible year. We continue to see a progressive double-digit growth year after year,’ said Demo.”

“‘So far, or at least based on the statistics of September, we have surpassed the figure of 800,000 tourists, and I believe that this year will be like no other in terms of numbers,’ emphasized Demo.”

“Tourists come from various countries, including distant continents like America and Australia.

‘The trend of visitors from traditional countries such as Italy, France, and Germany remains unchanged, but in the last 2 years, we have seen an extraordinary surge in number of tourists from Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and certainly the Nordic countries,’ said Demo.”

“The city of a thousand and one windows attracts tourists for its nature, history, cultural heritage, and cuisine.

In 2023, Berat was visited by around 800,000 tourists.
