TIRANA, May  29 /ATA/ Pogradec, the enchanting lake town, is a major tourist attraction steeped in nature, culture and history, while the charming lake entices visitors all year round.

On the eve of the tourist season, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Monday on social media images from the lyric Pogradec.

In the run-up to the summer season, the lake city of Pogradec has chosen to be more accessible to visitors and tourists, not only with investments in infrastructure and greenery, but also with public beaches, cleanliness, water sports or many other activities.

Located in front of Ohrid and Struga, 39 km from Korca, on the shore of Lake Ohrid and at the foot of Mount Thata, the city of Pogradec is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the country, welcoming visitors in every season of the year.

The most visited areas remain Prespa, Driloni, Tushemishti without forgetting Lake Ohrid, which is a unique natural, climatic, tranquil and inspiring gem.

Pogradec and its surroundings have now been transformed into a tourist destination, where, in addition to infrastructure investments, priority is given to investments in guesthouses, hotels and tourist businesses, which are responding to the ever-increasing demand of foreign tourists and locals, a permanent tourist attraction for the nature, culture and history.
