TIRANA, July 8 /ATA/ – Visitors can learn about a series of Albanian cultural tourism offers over this weekend via the recently launched digital National Tourism Calendar accessible via the free mobile phone application for tourists named Tourism Events of Albania (TEA).

Prime Minister Edi Rama took to the social media to share the cultural tourism package for the weekend on July 8-9, offering a range of events from the stunning Albanian Riviera to the breathtaking landscape of Theth in the country’s Alps.

“TEA will take you this time to the enchanting coast of the Albanian Riviera, namely at Livadh beach where the Lova Fest is taking place. Lezha will shine on Saturday evening with the ‘Saturday Fest’ event. Everyone can enjoy “the Book Nights” and the poetic nights at the Roman Amphitheatre. In Butrint you can experience magical nights with the stars of the Albanian and international art,” PM Rama said.

Rama said that “Theth in Albanian Alps will reverberate by Dukagjin Ensemble this weekend, with the ethnographic elements due to be blended with an arts and crafts fair. Tepelena will host ‘Vjosa Ime’ fest, featuring classical music, book exhibition, embroideries and traditional clothes, as well as amazing tourist attractions.”

The digital National Tourism Calendar 2023 is the latest innovation launched by the Albanian government, accessible via the free mobile phone application for tourists, TEA , adding up to the bustling summer tourist season already underway in the country.

The app allows tourists and users in Albania and abroad to access a calendar of activities across the country, in addition to a location-based event tracker.

Combining and including cultural heritage, Albanian traditional cuisine, arts, and all sorts of traditional and contemporary activities, the app TEA represents an incredible opportunity to boost Albania’s capacities in attracting visitors from all over the world.

With TEA, local visitors and foreign tourists can explore the calendar of events and mark favourite activities by age group and location, becoming part of Albania’s large cultural and tourism scene.

Available on Play and Apple Store, the application is free to use throughout Albania.

Currently, the app lists over 1000 events with detailed information and can notify users as the date of a certain event draws near. It also has a share function, a calendar function, and a heart function so that events can be saved to preferences.
