“Together with other institutions we are more committed to effectively address challenges like reduction of informality rate, pay hike, as well as provision of qualified workforce, with the vocational education and training playing a crucial role,” Finance Minister said in her remarks.

Data from the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) show that around 7.5 million tourists visited Albania in 2022 or 1.9 million visitors more than in 2021 or 18 % more than in 2019.

Data from the central bank estimate that tourism revenues totalled 2.84 billion euros in 2022 or 36% higher than in 2019.

Albanian authorities expect a successful tourism season this year as around 83% of the hotel and accommodation capacities have been already booked.
