TIRANA, Oct 16 /ATA/ The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, announced on Thursday that the Nation’s Road (Rruga e Kombit) will be toll-free for 24 hours on Friday. This decision comes ahead of the rally for justice in support of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, currently held in pre-trial detention in The Hague, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 17, at 17:00 in Skanderbeg Square, Tirana.
“The Nation’s Road” will be toll-free on October 17,” wrote Minister Belinda Balluku on social media.
“Freedom has a name – Justice for the liberators. We unite in Tirana for justice, dignity, and the truth of Kosovo’s liberation war,” she emphasized.
A similar protest, organized by KLA veterans, was previously held in The Hague on September 14.

On October 14, at a press conference, Hysni Gucati, Chairman of OVL-UÇK, announced that former Albanian President Alfred Moisiu and BDI leader Ali Ahmeti will address the rally. He also highlighted that 60 buses will travel from Kosovo to Tirana for the event.

Former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi are currently held in pre-trial detention in The Hague, where legal proceedings are underway against them. They face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, which all four have denied.
