Organized by the Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) in partnership with the IAIS, this global event is taking place in Albania for the first time, positioning Tirana among the cities that have previously hosted it, including Tokyo in 2023 and Cape Town in 2024.

Between November 10 and 12, technical committee sessions and bilateral meetings are being held, aimed at enhancing effective supervision, advancing international principles and standards, and encouraging the development of new products and best practices in the insurance sector.
The IAIS Annual Conference will be held on November 13–14 under the theme “Navigating Uncertainty: Enhancing Societal Resilience Amidst Growing Complexity.” The event will convene approximately 530 representatives from supervisory authorities, insurance companies, and international financial institutions in Tirana.
The second day of the conference will feature a welcome address by Prime Minister Edi Rama, with discussions focusing on the sustainability of the global insurance market and enhancing the resilience of companies in the face of complex challenges.
The Director General of the FSA, Mimoza Kaçi, described the event as a historic moment for Albania and the Authority, emphasizing that hosting the IAIS in Tirana positions the country as a reliable partner in the field of financial regulation and supervision.
