According to Minister Koçiu, “Thanks to the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), the Elbasan Regional Hospital has been equipped with laparoscopy equipment, further improving the quality of service and treatment options for the 450,000 local residents of Elbasan region”.

While laparoscopy is a surgical procedure used to examine the organs in the belly, Koçiu emphasized that thanks to this investment it will be possible to avoid open surgery, there will be fewer days of hospitalization and a reduced risk of infections, while improving patient care and facilitating the work of doctors. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
