TIRANA, Aug 16 /ATA/ Theth, the gem of the Albanian Alps, is now welcoming visitors from across the globe with public spaces restored to identity and seamlessly integrated into the surrounding landscape.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media today the impressions of several visitors, who said they were captivated by the magical landscapes, the warm traditional hospitality, the crystal clear waters, and the refreshing air that instils a sense of calm and positive energy.

An Australian tourist revealed how captivated she is by Theth, having visited the village multiple times.

“Waking up on a sunny day, beneath a clear blue sky, surrounded by mountains in a charming village like Theth — how could it not be a perfect day? I’m from Australia, and I adore Theth so much that I arrived in Albania eight weeks ago and have spent nearly a month here, leaving and returning again, simply because I love it so deeply,” she said.

The foreign tourist recommends Theth for its guesthouses, which she describes as simply beautiful.

“The atmosphere here is enchanting, almost mystical, and it fills you with warmth. In Theth, you can explore the waterfall, stroll to the Blue Eye, swim in the chilly waters, hike the mountains, savor delicious traditional food, and share drinks with friends. You immerse yourself in a magical environment that is captivating,” she said.

A tourist from Austria said his first impression of Theth was amazing. “We didn’t expect to find such a beautiful meadow tucked in the mountains. It feels simpler and more relaxing here than in Austria,” he said.

Another foreign visitor commented that everything was wonderful. “We really enjoyed exploring the area on motorcycles and felt completely relaxed,” she said.

“Such a beautiful place with amazing food. We’ve visited before and love it here,” shared a few other visitors.

Another international tourist commended the locals and their hospitality. “They are incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything,” she said.

“We are from Austria. We love nature and decided to come to Theth because we were looking for a more remote place. We visited the Blue Eye, a very beautiful natural site that I highly recommend. It’s fantastic here; we really enjoyed it. It’s very impressive with all these mountains — simply beautiful,” said another visitor.

Two visitors from New Zealand shared that they are enjoying their stay in Theth. “It reminds us a bit of the Dalmatian mountains; we really love it here,” they said.

“I’m from France. I was looking for a place to go hiking in the mountains and came across this spot. Some people from Tirana recommended it to me, and I really like it — it’s stunning,” said a French tourist.

A Scottish tourist shared that he chose Theth from the Balkan Peaks. “My first impression has been wonderful — great food, pleasant conversations, and very comfortable guesthouses. I can genuinely recommend it. It’s an excellent spot in Albania, quite different from Tirana, where we had stayed before,” he said.

Meanwhile, for tourists who choose Theth, adventure sports are also available.

“The zipline is a real attraction. Adding the zipline makes it even more interesting for foreign tourists. Visitors come from all over the world — mostly from the Netherlands, Germany, Israel, and Saudi Arabia,” added a local operator.

“We have come all the way from Australia to visit Theth for its stunning mountain views. It’s very pleasant and relaxing here,” said another visitor.
