Tourists already have the opportunity to cross over the hills, the River of Shala and its valley, enjoying the wonderful views and adrenaline on a zipline of cutting-edge technology.

Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro published Thursday on social media images from Theth as an invitation to visit this place in these scorching summer days.

“Here are the unique experiences in Theth, not only with nature, but also with attractions like Zipline, along with the warm hospitality in the guesthouses and the sweet smile of the residents,” Kumbaro said.

Located in the center of the National Park, Thethi is surrounded by enchanting natural beauty and nestles among the steep peaks from where the River of Shala originates.

With the construction of Zipline, Thethi adds another opportunity to attract more visitors and creates a new chance to promote the natural beauties of this area.

Theth National Park is located about 70 km away from Shkodra. It is visited all year round, in spring and summer it is famed for its rare greenery, in winter for the magic of the snow and for the adventure tourism, while autumn for its stunning colours and fruit orchards.

Projects for Theth as a European tourist destination, along with the property titles for houses and guesthouses, as well as a series of measures included in the “Mountain Package”, which is in the pipeline, are part of the government’s objective for sustainable development of this northern area, striking a balance between nature, tourism development, economy, culture and community.

The Government has recently presented the project for “Theth of Tomorrow”, which in harmony with all other elements, will encourage many migrants from these areas to return and invest in agritourism and guesthouses.
