Prime Minister Edi Rama has published on his social media account images of the thermal baths of Benja packed with visitors.

“Winter relaxation in the thermal baths of Benja,” Rama says in the caption below the views where local and foreign visitors chose to spend the last days of the year in the healing springs despite the low temperatures.

The thermal baths of Benja are located about 13 km from the city of Përmet.

Known since antiquity, these sulfur springs, which emerge from a deep tectonic crack, are different and originate on both sides of the Lengarica canyon.

Each spring has different therapeutic properties for the treatment of skin, stomach, kidney, rheumatism, etc.
