Prime Minister Edi Rama shared photos on social media today from the construction site of the New National Theatre, designed by the world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels, which is expected to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the region.

The new theatre will encompass several dedicated spaces for performances and actors. Specifically, it will have a 750-square-meter auditorium with over 600 seats, including a balcony. Additionally, there will be a 630-square-meter stage and two Black Box rooms, each measuring 200 square meters.

For the artists, there will be a 200-square-meter space designated as a changing room, a 200-square-meter rehearsal room, restrooms and showers, as well as a green room.
In support of various artistic performances, there will be a room for musical instruments, a storage area for stage materials, a decor storage room, and a technicians’ room, among others. Additionally, there will be a workshop space and all necessary facilities for the audience.
