According to Osmani, their message was that they were ready to risk and sacrifice their lives to defend the Republic of Kosovo.

Osmani said that she has met U.S. troops who have served, defending Kosovo’s freedom and peace and express gratitude on behalf of the people of Kosovo.

“We were ready to sacrifice our own lives to defend the Republic of Kosovo,” was the message we heard from the brave women and men serving in the Texas National Guard, who also served in Kosovo last year during Serbia’s act of aggression. They are men and women who served for 25 years with unwavering dedication to peace and freedom in our country and the region. They continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with us in defense of our Republic,” Kosovo President Osmani said.
