TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ The chairwoman of the Technical Committee of Experts, Mira Rakacolli, stated on Wednesday that “the situation is not where it should be in our assessment and therefore the restrictive measures to stem the spread of the pandemics will continue to remain at the same level as before.”
Rakacolli told a news conference that “this time the committee has not proposed any change to the measures.

“The curfew will remain in force, the movement will be allowed until 08:00pm and from 08:00pm to 06:00am there will be no traffic except for those who have health problems or work reasons. Bars and restaurants will work until 08:00pm to continue with the delivery service beyond that time,” she said.

Rakacolli also said that the universities and high schools will continue online except for seniors who will return to school to conduct face to face classes in compliance with the measures.

She went on saying that “flights with Great Britain will continue to be banned for the next two weeks.
Rakacolli said that “the measures proposed by the Committee have proved to be effective and this result is attributed to better cooperation with the citizens in implementation of the measures.”
She also described the vaccine rollout as a leap forward.

“In ten days Albania has topped the rankings in the region for the pace of vaccination process, overtaking even Serbia which was the first in the region. Despite these positive developments, the situation is not at the point where it should be in our assessment and in turn the measures will continue to remain at the same level as they were before,” she said.
