TIRANA, April 15/ATA/ Alice Taylor, the journalist and editor of British origin, who has been living in Albania for almost five years, was invited to the second episode of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s “Flasim” (Let’s talk) podcast.

“I Love Albania”, is the title of Episode 2 of Season 1 of the “Flasim” podcast, where PM Rama has a conversation with British journalist Alice Taylor.

“Alice Taylor is a resident of Tirana, in love with Albania, but very harsh to the government”, said the Prime Minister.

In his conversation with Taylor, Rama also focused on the issue of the departure of Albanians while bringing to attention an article by the British journalist who wrote that “in 2019, 360,699 people left Albania, equivalent to 12.4%”.

“I have the data here and I brought it because it is important to share this data. In 2019, the people who left the country were actually 43,850 people. On the other hand, another dimension is very important, apart from those who leave and who are obviously more than those who return, we still have those who return”, said Rama.

Asked about the fact that she came to stay in Albania for only a few days and has been staying for more than 5 years, the journalist said that: “5 and a half years, I have seen a lot of changes. Some of them are good, some of them… I write because I have a strong sense of social justice. If I see something that upsets me, it upsets me deeply, because I want to raise my daughter here, I want to grow old here.”

If she ever loved England, she said she didn’t.

“If I think of England, I think of grey. When I think of Albania, I think of red, yellow, green, blue. It is a completely different place”, said the journalist.

“Alice Taylor, is a British woman who has adopted Albania as her beloved homeland. I hope it has proven that the devil is not as black as he seems”, Rama concluded the conversation with journalist Alice Taylor.
