The Tax Administration (AT) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MBZHR) have conducted monitoring and inspections all across Albania this week.

The General Directorate of Taxes (DPT) states that market analysis in Tirana’s agro-food sector showed a 60% rise in reported invoicing.

Since the beginning of July, the Tax Administration, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development have launched nationwide inspections of taxpayers trading food and livestock products. The aim is not only to formalize the sector but also to ensure the quality of food products in order to protect consumers.
