Tabaku criticized the socialist government’s approach to public finances, calling the proposed budget “Socialist Budget No. 12,” which does not increase wages and pensions for Albanians, but instead favours a privileged minority that takes advantage of the current economic model to enrich itself.

“As prices have risen by 55% and Albanians are paying costs similar to those in European Union countries, pensions and wages remain among the lowest in the region. This budget does not provide solutions for the majority of Albanians, but continues to sustain a system that enriches monopolies and neglects the needs of the middle class, youth, and agriculture,” emphasized Tabaku.

Tabaku mentioned that Albanians are struggling with a 55% increase in prices, while their purchasing power remains among the lowest in the region.

” The retirees live on the lowest pensions in the region, at a time when they are paying prices comparable to those in the European Union. This is an unjust treatment that this budget does not address,” she declared.
