Tabaku says that the scandal over the theft and publication of data about 640 thousand citizens means the evil is knocking on the door of every Albanian who finds his name and most sensitive data in that document that goes viral in an unchecked way today.

“The leak of these sensitive data is part of the patronage scheme which resulted in the April 25 election theft, and today, the data leak is a weapon in the hands of every wrongdoer. After PPPs, unlawful and dishonest concessions and tenders that have ruined the economy, pushed most Albanians into poverty and damaged honest entrepreneurship, the life of each one of you, your family, your colleagues and co-workers, is exposed to any blackmail and abuse, just because Edi Rama and his associates, were willing to violate any law, to infringe your security, just to keep a tight hold on their corrupt power. This scandal illustrates how the state has fallen into the hands of patronage militants who act to protect the illegitimate power of Edi Rama, and also exposes the rotten Putin-like system, where citizens’ taxes, even in the form of fat salaries, are used to reward winners of PPPs and concessions to the detriment of the market and honest professionals of our country, who see how the proceeds deriving from corruption, money laundering and tax evasion compete unfairly with the permission of the party-state”, said Tabaku.
