Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, announced that this new digital system that has started to be applied since September 2023 in several regional hospitals provides detailed data on patients’ history, helping to manage health care, administration of medicines, as well as preserving the confidentiality of these data.

“The digitization of patient data is an ambitious project of the Albanian government with the support of the World Bank, which will be implemented in all regional hospitals, further improving health services and hospital management”, Minister Koçiu informed.
