TIRANA, Oct  3  /ATA/ Switzerland continues to lead the group of important investors in Albania for 2022.

The Bank of Albania published on Monday the indicators on the balance of payments, according to which, the Swiss foreign investments in Albania rank  second in the ranking after the Netherlands, with a total value of 1.8 billion euros at the end of the first 6 months of 2022.

During the 6 month period 2022, Swiss investments increased by 2.5 billion ALL, while compared to the same period a year ago, Swiss foreign investments increased by 3 million euros.

The Swiss investments are general concentrated in the gas industry, but also in other sectors of the economy, health and social life. /j.p/sm/
