“Albania is among the five most beautiful destinations in Europe not to be missed in September. Sun, tasty cuisine, scenic beauty and affordable prices, these spots are made to enjoy the end of summer as the huge tourist wave has passed and prices are falling,” 20min wrote in an article, proposing its readers five European destinations to visit in September, including France, Turkey, Portugal and Italy.

Posting two illustrating pictures showing the turquoise water and scenic landscape of Ksamil, the leading Swiss media has singled out Saranda and the surrounding coastal areas.

“Saranda is a port city in southern Albania, close to the Greek border. Taking the road that leads to Ksamil, a charming village on a peninsula, you can see Corfu in the distance. The place is part of the Butrint National Park. Even further south, visit (access by boat) two small islands of Tongo and Stillo,” according to 20min.
