In his speech during the swearing-in ceremony, Veliaj expressed his excitement and gratitude to all those who trusted him with the vote to run the country’s largest municipality.

“I am really excited, moved, humbled today for the incredible trust that has been given to me to serve our city for the third time. It is one of the most beautiful, perhaps the most challenging, but most rewarding jobs that humanity could have invented. The mayor, the city servants, are the first to face the problems, the worries, but also the dreams and the beautiful things that happen in a space that we call the city,” said Veliaj.

He also expressed his gratitude to all the members of the Municipal Council and extended his hand of cooperation even to the opposition councilors. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
