“A rare heart operation has been successfully performed by the cardiac surgery team in TUHC on an infant only 7 days old,” Manastirliu said.

The procedure of high complexity, an arterial switch operation, which lasted 5 hours, performed by prof. Altin Veshti, prof. Arben Baboçi, dr. Saimir Kuçi, dr. Alfred Ibrahimi, saved the life of little Ezlion.

After 20 days in intensive care unit under the supervision of Pediatric ICU medical staff, Ezlion is towards full recovery.
