Minister Lamallari said in a media statement that during the meeting, they discussed the progress of negotiations on Chapter 23, led by the Ministry of Justice, the work on aligning legislation, and the process of drafting the new Criminal Code, for which a broad and transparent public consultation has already been launched.

“Strengthening our technical and administrative capacities, as well as leveraging the advantages of technology, are essential for implementing our priorities, consolidating the Justice Reform, and strengthening the rule of law,” said Lamallari.

Earlier, Superti also held meetings with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, while in Tirana for the EU – Western Balkans Investment Forum, being held for the first time in Albania.
