On Thursday, the Albanian chief diplomat will be part of the first panel “EU enlargement: a new geopolitical emergency.”

This year’s summit will offer the opportunity to reflect on the most pressing challenges, risks and uncertainties that the region has grappled with in 2023 and identify the prospects of overcoming them through a series of policies and recommendations.

This summit will provide an opportunity to reflect on these challenges in the context of the renewed momentum of EU enlargement that includes not only the Western Balkans, but also Ukraine, Moldova and other countries of the Eastern Neighborhood of the European Union.
