In a social media post, Rama shared a photo of him and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte after the Ankara summit, saying that years of hard work and patience had turned what once seemed impossible into reality.

“After years of effort and patience, the unimaginable has become possible — a moment when you can tell the NATO Secretary General: See you in Albania for the next summit,” Rama wrote.

Earlier today, during a press conference at the conclusion of the NATO summit in Ankara, Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that the alliance’s next summit would be held in Albania.

Prime Minister Rama is in Ankara, where he is attending the NATO summit, which has brought together the heads of state and government of alliance member countries to discuss current security challenges and strategic priorities.
