Through SIGURT.gov.al, citizens can log in to report businesses that violate labor laws, cause environmental pollution, or break other state regulations. Reporters have the option to disclose their identity or remain completely anonymous. The platform also gives businesses and entities the ability to anonymously or openly report any inspectors who breach legal protocols or ethical standards.

The platform aims to enhance the transparency of public services and foster collaboration between citizens, businesses, and state institutions, particularly those handling inspections. /m.q/j.p/p.s./

During the inspection on the ground, it was found out that some businesses had occupied public spaces ignoring the rules.

Therefore, the relevant Tirana Municipality teams intervened immediately clearing up the public space.

Deputy Mayor of Tirana Blendi Sulaj emphasized that public spaces should not be occupied abusively by certain businesses, but are common property and should serve citizens.

“We urge all citizens to report if they see abuses in the occupation of public spaces,” said Sulaj.

For her part, Director of the Municipal Police Elona Lalaj said that there will be ongoing controls on every business or individual occupying public space. /m.q/ /a.g/p.s./

During the meeting, there was presented the work carried out by the Inspectorate in context of the process of clearing up of the public spaces in the city of Tirana and transformation of these spaces into recreational environments, to serve the needs of the community.

“The reclaimed public space will get transformed into gardens or other recreational areas for the citizens of Tirana. The work done to clear up these public spaces will give more air, breathing space to our entire capital”, said Sulaj

Deputy Mayor of Tirana emphasized the determination to continue the process adding that the Inspectorate will look for the good understanding with the businesses that operate nearby with the aim of creating a peaceful climate of coexistence with the local community of the area. /gj.m/j.p/p.s./
