TIRANA, June 11 /ATA/ The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development published the budget report for the first 4 months of 2024, on the overall progress of its agricultural subsidy schemes.

Referring to this report, the Ministry of Education and Culture informs that about 15,597 applicants have applied to the national schemes. The largest number of applications continues to be in the livestock measure, with about 62.6% of the applications, followed by support for beekeeping with about 13% of the total applications.

For measure no. 6 “Organic farms”, measure no. 7 “Global Gap”, as well as measure no. 8 “Group of farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives”, the fund has been allocated to the extent of 100% of the total applications,”, according to MoARD.
In the budget report, the ministry also elaborates on the progress of the subsidy scheme related to tax-free oil.

“The oil subsidy scheme for mechanization in agriculture, the application process has been completed, with about 54,255 applications in total with a required fund of about 3,559 million ALL. With the current budget, we cover only 35.2% of the demand. In contrast to previous years, for the first time this year the payment will be credited to the farmer’s account, based on the criteria laid down in the CoM decision and the relevant guideline,” the ministry’s report says.
