TIRANA, April 15 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca, present at the opening of the “Slow Food” fair together with her German counterpart Cem Ozdemir, highlighted the more and more greater presence of our products in the international market through the certification of traditional products, while also emphasizing that “Slow Food” is already the main defender of biodiversity in the Mediterranean.

“”Slow Food International is today one of the most influential movements in the world of production, food and above all thought. 37 years ago, when this movement started, few believed that it would become the champion of sustainable production and the main defender of biodiversity in the Mediterranean and beyond”, said Minister Krifca, as she emphasized that, “Slow Food” in the course of these decades has build a new philosophy which affects the personal, national and global aspects of our society’s relationship with food.

The minister said that, “In Albania, in recent years, “Slow food” is being considered as the right production philosophy, according to which the growth of economic indicators must necessarily pass from quality based on the food traditions of the country, but also on the preservation of environmental ecosystems “.

In this context, Krifca emphasized, we have started an important effort to identify, recognize and certify the products of the territory, an important part of which you can find here at the fair in Stuttgart, in the Albanian pavilion.

Albania’s stand at this Fair, where 11 talented producers are presented, has attracted the attention of many visitors who are increasing their interest in seeing Albania in all the dimensions, geographical, landscape and natural beauty, where the cuisine undoubtedly attracts what is authentic traditional Albanian. /p.s./
