Vata/ The students of Tirana Agricultural University have started on Friday a peaceful protest against the soaring prices of fuel and staples.

Chanting the slogan “Switch off the car’s engine and join us,” the students started marching on foot from Agricultural University of Tirana to downtown Tirana to gather in front of the building of the Ministry of Education to oppose the price hike.

The students then stopped in “Scanderbeg” square, where they announced that they would join the protest at 17:00 hrs.
