TIRANA, September 24/ATA/ National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection has focused on the area of the “Mother Teresa” International Airport in Rinas to remove unauthorized structures.

In this area, there were erected one-story structures, built without a permit, which were used for providing various services.

In addition to violating the law, these constructions violated airport security, as well as damaged the urban image of one of the country’s main gateways.

Inspectorate said today that, “So far, 155 service facilities built without a permit have been demolished and dismantled.”

Inspectorate emphasized that this operation will continue until the area is completely cleared, with the aim of restoring order and legality to the territory, as well as improving the aesthetic and functional appearance of the space around the airport.

Conceived as a systematic intervention in the field and not a temporary action, the initiative to free up public spaces aims to improve the quality of urban life and the functionality of businesses.

The government initiative foresees that the intervention on the ground will continue until the complete removal of all unauthorized structures, as part of the government’s vision “Urban Renaissance 2.0”./k.s/j.p/p.s./
