In 2018, strawberries were planted en masse only in the region of Fier. Then the geography of sweet fruit production included the district of Lushnja, which ranks second after Fier with 14% of production, or 391 tons of strawberries.

While in other cities the production of strawberries reached 15 tons in Durrës, 5 tons in Dibra and 3 tons in Elbasan.

According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, last year 121 ha of strawberries were planted in the district of Fier with 436 kv / ha produced, while exports increased to over 2,500 tons per year.

The whole region of Fier has produced more than 5 thousand tons of strawberries in 2019 for domestic consumption, export and processing (mainly for jam), according to farmers.
