In February, the stock of deposits in the system decreased to 1.28 trillion ALL, with a contraction of 15 billion ALL, or -1.2% compared to the previous month.

The Bank of Albania announces that deposits in ALL decreased by 1% compared to January (-5 billion ALL) and those in euros by -1.3% (-9.6 billion ALL).

The devaluation of the euro has also contributed to the performance of euro-denominated deposits.

Bank experts say that the decrease in ALL-denominated savings was mainly driven by the decline in corporate deposits, while those in foreign currency from both individuals and businesses.
