Asked about an investigation launched by Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) into the concession contract, PM Rama told a news conference that he fully supports the public-private partnership contracts signed by the government over the past years.

“If I were to come back 100 times, I would do the same thing 100 times. I would support these public-private partnership contracts we have signed in Albania, because they are all works that will remain there,” he said.

“When we embarked on the justice system reform, I have stated that I want a justice system to attack both on the left and on the right and a justice system that moves forward only. And I didn’t said that for propaganda purposes,” PM Rama said.

The government head stated that “more than one million Albanians support the Socialist Party and those involved in corruption practices are only a few of them and they represent nothing vis-à-vis the SP power.”
