MEFA congratulated all Albanian political actors in the Preševo Valley for the responsibility, political maturity and vision they demonstrated through the decision.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFA) said the agreement sends a clear message that Albanian interests are better represented when political forces act in a united and coordinated manner.

“Effective and dignified representation in the institutions of the country where they live requires unity, responsibility and a common stance on issues directly impacting the rights, wellbeing and future of Albanians in the Preševo Valley,” the ministry said.

MEFA added that the joint list should demonstrate how political unity can strengthen representation, better safeguard citizens’ interests and increase their influence in decision-making processes.

“Albania will continue to strongly support the rights of Albanians in the Preševo Valley, their fair representation, full equality before the law, as well as the economic and social development of the Albanian community,” the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said.
