A private business near the entrance to Myslym Shyri Street caught fire after protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the premises. Flames also engulfed offices on the first floor of the Supreme Court building.

Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the fires.

Masked protesters also threw Molotov cocktails at the Bank of Albania building on the boulevard, setting part of the premises alight. Firefighters brought the blaze under control before it could spread further.

Near the central bank, close to the Socialist Party headquarters, protesters continued throwing fireworks and Molotov cocktails.

As they moved through the capital’s main streets, demonstrators also damaged businesses and mobile phone company premises, set rubbish bins on fire and vandalised road signs and railings along pavements.
