During a meeting held with the citizens in Korça, Rama said that “when we talk about jobs in Albania, I am cognizant of the fact that there are two things involved here, the job and salary, and a large part of people do not merely look for a job, but a better paid job.”

“In order to offer well- paid jobs, we must do our best to create more opportunities on the new front, that of technology, innovation, jobs that require higher qualifications and pushing at the bottom the whole group that is in the minimum wage to progressively increase every year the minimum wage,” Rama added.

Asked about state benefit, PM said that “we have decided that until the end of the pandemic, it will be twofold because it has a significant impact on families living on state benefit. We saw its effect in the first phase when we doubled the state benefit and we will keep it at that level. After return to normal and the way out of this situation, the state benefit will gradually increase, also in this aspect Korça is a good example for the treatment of the Roma and Egyptian communities. ”
