The rank is a breast star recognized as a traditional order, linking the modern state to earlier honors.

The ceremony was organized in the premises of the Premier’s Office.

By calling him a shining star of European Albania, the prime minister dedicated this honor to Tedi the multi-faceted creator, actor, translator, and researcher—a true Albanian of Europe and the world.

Rama praised the fact that this ceremony joins the cultural events of Europe Week.

“I want to thank Tedi for representing the true beauty of Albania in Europe, challenging the outdated, prejudiced stereotypes that once defined us. Thank you to Europe for bringing Tedi back to Albania this week—this has been an unforgettable, truly European moment in our home”, said Rama.

Rama praised Papavrami’s intellectual engagement, which he described as a voice of utmost dignity.

Among other things, Rama portrayed Papavrami as an exemplary figure, defined by his rare humanity and modesty.

The prime minister emphasized that, “Papavrami is proof that you can take the artist out of the country, but never the country out of the artist”. /p.s./

This award perfectly caps a phenomenal 2025 for Carja, who dominated the international stage with medals at the World, European, and Balkan Championships, alongside the Solidarity Games.

Astrit Hasani, President of the European Weightlifting Federation, presented the award while commending the Albanian athlete’s outstanding international performance and promise.

Carja’s success is the result of hard work over the years, in close collaboration with coach Eglantina Kalemi, as well as the constant support from the Weightlifting Federation and the Albanian National Olympic Committee.

With this achievement, Enkileda Carja is confirmed as one of the most promising names in European weightlifting, raising the Albanian flag high and strengthening Albania’s positions in international sport. /gj.m/j.p/p.s./

Attending the event was Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Interior Bledi Çuçi, colleagues, family members.

In his speech, PM Rama said that, “This is certainly an extremely difficult moment for you and as a whole it is not an easy moment for the whole community, because the loss of life of a police officer is really a tragic loss that goes beyond family, beyond friends and relatives and affects the soul of a society and a country”.

“Today, we are here at the ceremony of placing the Star of Saimir on the wall of memory of the State Police near the stars of all the martyrs of our protection, order and security troops, in the course of all these years. It is a long time since the previous star was placed and in a sense it is a relief that in all the multitude of those stars on that wall in these years the number of tragic cases is less than the fingers of one hand. But, on the other hand, statistics do not matter because even a single life is worth as much as all the lives when it is lost”, – Rama emphasized.

But, I want to say that I still feel a relief when I think that the children of the martyr will not be alone and we will take care as we have had since yesterday to take care of his family until they have reached the age of maturity and are ready to come to life”.

“170% of the father’s salary for the children does not say anything in relation to the loss, not even the 50 million lekë that we allocated to the family say anything in relation to the loss. But, it is nevertheless a relief to think that the children will be accompanied not only from the mother, grandparents, but also from the state and will not miss anything just as if the father were alive.
